38.1 In essence, you are only soul

During a life on earth, the soul has both a material and a spiritual body. On earth, the spiritual body is the intermediary between the soul and the material body. The soul controls the material body through the spiritual body. At death, the soul steps out of the material body with its spiritual body. In the afterlife, the soul then still needs its spiritual body to have experiences, to communicate with others, to manifest itself on the spiritual plane of existence. The soul in itself has no concrete form; it is thinner than the spiritual body. We can also speak of three levels of condensation. The soul is the thinnest, the least compacted. At the spiritual level, the soul condenses into spiritual body, which is more condensed and has more form. It can also temporarily leave the material body with its spiritual body during earthly life during an out-of-body experience. Our deepest essence is referred to as the soul

-I am soul. The soul lives in the depth of my life,  that is the spark, that is the Deity in me. But I am also spirit and I am humanly, materially developed.

-Yes, the organism here encloses the spirit and the soul, but the spirit encloses the soul for the astral world and this world is therefore our spiritual life!

Question and Answer 1 p.143

-God created this marvellous earthly body for the soul, and the spirit, which is the personification of the soul as a human being, activates the organism with which it is connected via thou- sands of links. The body is a temple for the soul, where it must dwell during its physical existence.

-You are all the divine core, madam, it lives in your feet, even a part of your corn, in the grey hairs, in your neck muscles, your blood, your life. What keeps you alive here on earth is the divine core. And now ‘behind the coffin’, madam, what is it there? So the spirit as a human being is the casing of that life ‘behind the coffin’, as a human being, and has eyes, teeth, nose and hands and legs and feet. But the divine life again, which lives in everything, is the soul as the divine spark in attunement for the human life of feeling as man and wife. The life of feeling is therefore the personal feeling and thinking in order to give ourselves form by means of the word.
